On April 7 First Lady Michelle Obama took her garden tour to our home of Newark, where she visited our youngest AeroFarmers – the students of Philips Academy Charter School. The school has a rooftop garden as well as an AeroFarms growing lab where they learn how their food is grown and gain a more tangible connection to the importance of fresh, healthy food.
After planting some seeds with the kids on the rooftop, Mrs. Obama and tour companion Al Roker learned about Philips Academy’s indoor farm, which uses AeroFarms technology.
